Who we are
Dayclo is a digital wardrobe application available at dayclo.app. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how we use your data. If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at hello@dayclo.app.
What data we collect
When you create a Dayclo account we collect:
- Your first name and email address.
- Your password, stored securely and encrypted.
- Your age range and gender, both optional at sign up with “Prefer not to say” available.
- Your UK location, used only to provide local weather for outfit suggestions.
When you use the app we collect:
- Photos of clothing items you upload.
- Item details you enter, including brand, category, colour, size, price paid, and notes.
- Outfit plans and packing lists you create.
- Wear logs when you record what you wore each day.
- Your app preferences, including dark mode setting.
How we use your data
We use your data to:
- Provide and improve the Dayclo service.
- Show you personalised outfit suggestions based on your location and weather.
- Generate wardrobe analytics shown in your Insights tab.
- Keep you logged in across sessions.
- Send account-related emails such as password reset and email confirmation.
We also use anonymised and aggregated data across all users to understand wardrobe trends, brand popularity, and usage patterns. This data is used for internal analysis and may be shared with brand partners in aggregated form only. No individual user data is ever shared with third parties.
Cookies
Dayclo uses the following cookies. Essential cookies are required for the app to function. They keep you logged in and maintain your session and cannot be turned off. Analytics cookies help us understand how people use Dayclo so we can improve the app. These are optional and you can turn them off at any time using the cookie settings at the bottom of the page.
Your photos
Photos you upload are stored securely on our servers and are only visible to you. We do not share, sell, or use your photos for any purpose other than displaying them in your Dayclo wardrobe.
Your rights under UK GDPR
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct any inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time using the Delete Account option in your Profile settings.
- Object to how we process your data.
- Withdraw consent at any time.
To exercise any of these rights contact us at hello@dayclo.app and we will respond within 30 days.
Data retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account all your personal data, photos, items, and activity is permanently deleted from our systems within 30 days.
Data security
Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a trusted cloud database provider. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We never store passwords in plain text.
Third party services
Dayclo uses the following third party services to operate:
- Supabase for database and file storage.
- Vercel for hosting and deployment.
- Open-Meteo for weather data. No personal data is shared with this service.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make significant changes we will notify you by email or by a notice in the app. The date at the top of this page always shows when it was last updated.
